POLICIES

Note: Video players on bus, arrival times, and slide/video shows at camp cannot be guaranteed.

Deposits:
A $50 deposit per person reserves your trip date. Balances are due and payable 45 days before date of departure. Due to government limitations on trip size all monies are nonrefundable. You may substitute someone in your place, however, without penalty. If you must cancel, please notify South Bay River Rafters by fax or mail. If space is available, you may switch your reservation to an earlier trip date. South Bay River Rafters reserves the right to cancel or change to another date, as daily changes in the weather, water level, or insufficient reservations may require. Should a trip be cancelled prior to departure a future trip credit will be granted. No credits are given for trips already in progress. Prices are subject to change.

Change Policy:
There is an additional $10.00 per person minimum processing fee if you change your trip date to a later date (using the formula below). There are no changes or credits within two weeks of your trip date. After a trip change, no credits will be given for a cancellation.

Cancellation Policy:
Once your reservation is confirmed, we are committed to keeping space available for you (we do not overbook the trips). Other customers who request a reservation for that trip may be turned away. There are no cash refunds. If you wish to be able to receive a refund, we recommend trip travel insurance (see below). If you cancel a trip you will receive credit for a future raft trip with South Bay River Rafters according to the following guidelines:

Your signature will be required on an agreement specifying the terms and conditions regarding reservations, changes, cancellations.

Trip Travel Insurance:
We highly recommend obtaining low-cost travel insurance which covers medical, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation and personal items. Ask your travel agent for information.

Notice: The South Fork of the American River in its natural state would not normally have sufficient flows during the summer season to support rafting or other floating activities as it is known today. Adequate flows for rafting result from releases from hydroelectric facilities located at Chili Bar and above. Such releases are made when necessary for power generation and are not subject to the control of the county of El Dorado, or commercial rafting companies operating under permits from the county of El Dorado.
