For true archeology lovers! The recent discovery of this remote site in northern Peru offers a unique opportunity. The Chachapoyas were conquered by the Incas and until recently were largely overlooked by the archeologists. We will visit their burial sites, fortresses and local museums, were some of the pre-Inca mummies recently discovered are in exhibit. We'll also visit Chiclayo and Trujillo, where remains of the Chimu, Lambayeque and Moche cultures are found. We also visit the famous Machu Picchu, combining it with the Inti Raymi festival in Cuzco.
